Usually Inky discovers FastMail with no problems.   If you find that Inky is not discovering your new FastMail account ("spinning"), here is something to check.  Close Inky.

FastMail has a security feature in place to prevent spamming via SMTP.  Having Inky try to discover FastMail may trigger an email from them requesting mobile phone verification for the trial to make sure you are a person.

  1. Login to your FastMail account and look for a "service notification" mailer from them
  2. Click on the link to verify your account via a mobile device (example mail below)
  3. Enter the verification code sent to your phone
  4. Open Inky again and add FastMail
